<<But go you- carping at people who want children to have quick access to medical care. I mean, do you think about these positions before you post?>>

Epicure; Okay, I get it. You want children to be close to medical care. I will accept your position even as it shocks me. But as a person that lives and raised my children in a rural setting, I will defend this lifestyle against reasons that I feel are less than compelling. Maybe old geezers that are near death should be close to medical care so they can get their oxygen bottle filled - but honestly suggesting that people should raise their children close to cities has me fumbling for words to express my puzzlement.

I'll take my lifestyle any day where children grow up on farms or rural settings and learn the ways of nature and eat healthy foods from a garden and where kids play in safe surroundings ........over .......the mother in a city that eats processed food and breaths the fumes of city life and has to deal with city crime. ........The idea that children should live close to medical care I would say is similar to suggesting that people shouldn't drive cars because that is where most deaths occur. No one thinks twice about driving in a car - or for that matter putting your child in a car. It's just a part of life. Like living where you want based on many things.

And lastly, I do think about a position before I comment ......AND I would never make that same comment to you. Differences of opinion are not necessarily bad.
