Sedohr, Did you notice that Paul thinks the N.C. unions would be too stupid to keep up with membership absent a reminder every pay day?

I was speaking of management rather than the unions. Management would have no know way of knowing who belonged to the union. With payroll deductions they would have a knowledge who are the individual members in the bargaining union(s) and therefore could keep tabs on the members. This I know from my management days.

Nonmembers are not protected by the unions, if and when, they run into legal or violation of their employment or the collective bargaining contract.

Most non-union members have to pay for their cost of defending themselves in the courts. Union members have the liability protections, and other guarantees of just cause and due process for employment.
