It's dumb because two quarters can't reveal a meaningful trend.

Yes, the calendar Q1 report (Apple's Q2) will tell us a lot. Typically, that quarter is down for Apple relative to the prior one, because they sell mostly to consumers, which means massive buying takes place in the December quarter, with a big drop-off following.

But in last year's March quarter, Apple actually sold more iPhones than they had in CQ4.

It will be interesting to see what happens this year.
