I don't know what "pitch a bitch" means

There are no dumb questions. Pitch refers to frequency. More pitch higher frequency. A "pitched" battle, infers much shooting. PaB would be something like arguing with a schrill voice, or rapid fire points.

Also, there is a use of the word pitch in mechanics that seems to run counter to frequency. High pitch of a bolt for example would mean coarse threads.
