Yes, the court of public opinion/trial. That entire affair was a witch hunt lead by that terrible Gingrich, HYde and Starr. Thsoe were the same personalities that started the witch hunts of the middle ages. Stupid nasty men. They all wear their venal nature on their face. I agree, our legal system is the best system, no doubt. Which is why I see it breaking down. There is nothing to replace it with and we need somethign for civilization to exist. I am guessing the law is evolving into more of an existential system i.e. defined by tthe people driectly through elections. But that creats a huge problem considering the citizens United Decision becasue the very rich can make the peopel irrelevant by spending billlions on campaigns. Inverted totalitarianism they call it. <PS. The lawyer in me needs to point out that, as far as I know, Clinton wasn't found "guilty" in his impeachment--unless you were talking about the verdict of the court of public opinion. Hyde
