That is the left-wing, progressive, communist, al qaeda, and every other America hating groups' argument for dismantling the US Armed Forces.

Gee, Mike, I thought you liked me! :>)

I want to increase our capability, not decrease it. I am looking at it in today's world, not 1945. You still want to be ready to fight WWII.

Look back at us in '01. We had a Fulda-Gap Army ready to fight WWII. They should have had an option as to how to handle an Afghan campaign, and they were CLUELESS. The CIA ran the war, using SF to do it, and an unwilling Air Force to take out the enemy. The Regular Army fought the way it was run all the way. One Battalion of Rangers in Tora Bora would have made a big difference in Dec of 01, and the Army would not let them get deployed. We dropped from a winning war there to a standard WWII offense and have been losing ever since.

The Army then ran a WWII war in Iraq, and there went 10K men and a Trillion.

People like me on the right want to change the DOD. The left wants to destroy it.
