I agree with you. I am not for large or small government. I am for right-sized government. We absolutely need an effective, streamlined gov't.

And the rich and corporations in this country pay way too little taxes. For me, it's all about a balanced budget. We should tax enough to pay for our expenditures. Unlike most GOP members, I believe in taxation. If I were in charge, I'd raise taxes quite dramatically on the high end and I'd reduce subsidies of all sorts across the board.
The difference between Japan and us on infrastructure is that they have deficit spent to build up their infrastructure, whereas we deficit spend to engage in worthless trillion dollar wars that don't add any value to our economy.
