A few years ago, Intel settled an unfair trade practices case with the JFTC. Intel insisted they had done nothing wrong but agreed to a abide by an agreed upon set of conditions in their business practices. It cost Intel nothing. There was no fine and Intel's business has flourished since. The Faithful here pointed to the case as proof of Intel's wrong doings, because Intel chose not to defend itself. Like every member of the Faithful, then and now, they had no idea how this business runs and there was no concept of protecting your customers from the embarrassment of being dragged through Court to prove your own innocence. Why would anyone do that? AMD was perfectly willing to abuse their customers, so the Faithful assumed it was normal business, everybody does it so Intel must be afraid to let the facts be known. For those who have ever done business in Japan, they know that Intel earned great respect from their customers for protecting them, even when the customers knew there was no wrongdoing. Acting like an adult is inconceivable to the Faithful and always will be, but you're not the ones who matter... Those customers are and they know how Intel treats their customers and conducts business a lot better than you do.
