Tom:

(off topic)

----->As a young boy, I have thrown stones at a tall tree trying to dislodge fruits from a tree laden with them-

You have brought to my mind a favorite story which is chock full of E Tx foksy wisdom........

Young gentleman is walking down a coutry lane and observes a pig underneath an apple tree looking up.
He marvels to himself at the intellegence of the pig to know and understand that the tree will release it's fruit sooner or later and the pig can then eat the fruit as it hits the ground.
This Y/G climbs over the fence and , as the pig was really just a piglet and not too heavy, he raises up the animal so it can eat the apple from one of the lower branches.
The old farmer who owned both the piglet and the tree observed the operation and strolled over and inquired what the Y/G was doing.
The Y/G replied that as the piglet couldn't dislodge the fruit and appeared to be a pleasant and intelligent piglet he was holding him up so he could eat before the fruit fell, which could well be hours or longer.
Farmer mulls this over for a bit and asked why did the Y/G just knock down some apples to the ground and save all the time that it was taking to hold up the piglet in the air.
Immediately the reply came back from the Y/G
What's time to a pig ?

I really like that story......
There is no intended implications or comparision to anyone on our threads.
I just thinks it's funny....

Down here in Texas we substitue "Aggie" for Young Gentleman".....ggg
But this is an intenational thread and I knew the name substiution was in order.
