I disagree. The numbers of black professionals are increasing rapidly, this has not had enough time to balance out yet.

There is a greater desire among blacks to become great athletes because of cultural reasons. That is there is greater motivation to become great athletes than to become a great doctor or scientist.

The reason for Africans and American Indians to not be as advance as the western civilization had a lot to do with climate. Actually black Africans were among the first to civilize. Early Egypt was all or part black, only to become mixed with many of the other nations doing trade. The Egyptians were probably the first to have a phonic writing system which in it earliest forms may have been borrowed from the Nubians.
