I went to that wiki. The symposium was never identified and the article seems to conclude that the Ancient Egyptians were a mix of both black and Mediterranean. The ancient Greek historians said their skin color was brown to jet black. The Greek, nor Romans, nor Jews, held any stigma toward their color. In fact the stigma seems to be from the 18 to 19 century and associated with slavery.
