Judges who even think of permitting sharia law to exist in this country should be impeached

Forget about the sharia law thing, the question is whether religious belief should trump existing secular law. I saw an episode of The Practice a while back where the a Jehovah's Witness mother wanted to deny her dying child a blood transfusion since blood transfusions are against the JWitness' religious beliefs. Without the transfusion the child was going to die.

So.....what do you do, allow the parent to follow their religious beliefs and let the child die, or give the transfusion and deny the parent the ability to practice their religious belief?

It's also worth considering that we make lots of noise about horrible genital mutilation that occurs in some African countries amongst women, but circumcision, which I think has very limited health benefits, if any, is commonly practiced in the US.
