I don't like them either. My state has a caucus system, and doesn't even let candidates call themselves Republican or Democrat. All they can say is that the 'prefer' one party.

It makes me feel that I have no say in the matter. I'm tempted to see whether I can attend a caucus, but for the reason you suggest, it's unpalatable.

I hate caucuses. They are nothing more than overbearing people pushing their will on others.
