complete data kaput

Don't you backup your Q data file. I have it set for auto backup to an external every 3rd use, which sometimes can happen within an hour. Occasionally, for safety I backup to a 2nd external. Have never had to do a recovery so couldn't vouch for the effectiveness, but I did recover the Q data file to transfer to a new computer last year and it worked then. If there was really a better alternative to Q I would go for it. I go every 3 years, when required, as the "upgrades" sometimes turn out to be downgrades.
