WHOOP! WHOOP!...AMAT's on the run again...36 13/16ths and going.

Hey Andrew..I have a rather simple question for you, and frankly am quite embarrassed about it. Now that I have been holding my stocks longer than a day or so, I have become interested in figuring out how to estimate the "Average" price paid for a stock at differing prices and share amounts.

For example, let's say I bought 1000shs of AMAT at 37 7/8ths one day and another 250shs at 35 the next. How do you personally calculate the average between the two trades?

All this from a guy that got up to Calculus 2 in college!!
