Does anyone here really believe there will be no tax increases?

Uncle - that is a hugely important question that our friends on the right are going to have to come to grips with. IMO, anyone who thinks all of the pain to come is going to come from cutting entitlements without some contribution of pain from others is simply delusional. Now - my preference is for revenue increases to come from loop hole elimination and not rate increases.

Where I think the biggest shock is coming is for all of those who believed the Obama lie that people under $200k in income will not see tax increases. Of course this is one of the great Obama lies so readily believed by many who simply have no affinity for math. As Sutton said - you go where the money is - and that is in the middle class.

There is a huge disconnect in this country from financial reality. Every politician who lies to the people to make them think someone else will have to pay is IMO a traitor. There is pain a plenty to come - and that pain will be shared by all.
