Shutting down the straights is nuts. The Iranians couldn't do it for long before having whatever Navy they float blown out of the water. It' silly to think they can take on the American fleet.

In my opinion, the fear should be the Iranians taking out an LNG or crude carrier.

Want to make a mess? Sink a few boats and see how many captains and insurance companies want to cover a boat going into the Persian Gulf.

Oh...and blame the sinking on the Americans.
