Stop-losses moved up after yesterday's spike could easily account for 75% of the sell-off yesterday and today. Wouldn't it be a shocker if MM's sold a few shares cheap in order to reach down for some bargains?

Maybe that's the pattern today -- shaking out the weak sisters -- and maybe not, but it's the only rationale that makes any sense to me. So I will hold my position, pick up a few more shares at $1.44 and below, and enjoy the next rise.

I guess someone with proper tools could check on whether the transactions at bid price have tended to be small today.
