<<Without going into astrophysics, which I don't understand anyway, if their was a big bang doesn't their have to be an edge to the universe?

Interesting question. This is the mental picture I have. First of all, close your eyes and try to think of nothing. Can't do it. After the big bang, the universe expanded to a huge space in a fraction of a second. The expansion of space itself, can go faster than the speed of light.

The way I see it, is that the univese is simply "creating space", where space did not exist before. So the other side is really just nothing. There is no other side.

But the math and physics leads to a mutiverse which I believe in. So my guess, is that the totality of everything is infinite in both space/time and diminsions; and intelligence is also infinite. In fact we may find that the universe itself is just a big brain.

The importance of Einstein's theory of relativity was that it showed the classical universe was wrong and not deterministic, but rather a matter of probability; ironically something he never would accept.

Simply put, if you do not observe it, it does not exist except as a probability. There is no objective reality.
