there is plenty of corruption in bulgaria. it is easy and cheap for rosneft, other russians, or the like to buy some protest leadership as a catalyst to get a larger reaction started, and then more useful idiots will join in the crowd. putin doesn't like other countries having any freedom from his expensive (and sometimes weaponized) ng supply. i suppose it would be easy for the russians to finance a super pac for this bulgarian political party :-) .
