Ron Paul would enact serious changes in favour of return to constitutional processes which were so fantastically successful for so long.

and so would any decent Tea party candidate, which happens to be a serious grass roots popular movement. A cult like following of a quirky individual is not an American way to solve problems. At least it hasn't been until now.
