It doesn't matter if it is marked for export (as refined fuel) as that it will tremendously help our balance of payments problem (due to crude imports) AND will be available for domestic consumption as needed ( for instance the Straits of Hormuz are blocked) . Additionally, as you note, if we don't use it someone else will and get the benefits. We need Greens, and people like yourself, to remind us of our responsibilities to the whole. Even though I don't agree with Greens on everything I admire their passion and commitment to the environment.
