I happened to live overseas for more than a couple of decades until recently so I am well aware of how he is viewed by the world press. He is viewed as a novice and naive lightweight.

Specifically, Obama has not been much of a friend to Israel. He enraged the Saudis by abandoning our traditional friend in power in Egypt. He has slighted Britain ( our closest friend) and France too. Thank goodness he has Hillary to add some weight to our foreign dealings.

Scheisse! Your comments are utter nonsense. He supported the Libya revolution without getting America committed up to its eyeballs and got Europe to do the heavy lifting, the Euros I speak to would kill to have the kind of president we have; the Arab League is the most proactive in its long, miserable history where it is actually discussing sending troops into Syria to depose Bashar.........something I never would have expected in my lifetime; and then there is Myanmar which has enacted some major reforms at the prodding of Obama, permitting the US to upgrade its relationship with that country. Those are just a few of the breakthroughs that have been experienced under this president. The truth is foreign policy has been his strong suit because its the one area where Rs can meddle the least.

Meanwhile, the right in this country remains muddled in the foreign policies of the 1950s and refuses to evolve as the world evolves.
