I dunno. I don't have a religious impulse, so it is foreign to me. I like calm agnostics and atheists who don't get all freaky about things- I don't want a rabid econut for a friend anymore than I want a wingnut. Give me rational nonreligious people, who like good food and drink, good conversation, and who are compassionate and kind. Well, you don't have to give me any, actually, I've collected a bunch for myself- and the cool thing is, many of them actually know how to DO things- since they are engineers and inventors. You really don't need a higher purpose if you can find a real purpose in this life.
