DENISON MINES LIMITED NOVEMBER 21, 1997 Denison Mines Limited Panel Recommends Approval of Midwest Uranium Project Development TORONTO, ONTARIO--Denison Mines Limited announced today that the Joint Federal-Provincial Review Panel's report on the Midwest and Cigar Lake uranium projects released on November 13, 1997 recommends approval of the mining of the Midwest project as proposed in all material respects. It is proposed that the tailings from the Midwest project be deposited into the Tailings Management Facility ("TMF") being developed as part of the McClean Lake uranium project. The Atomic Energy Control Board has received the detailed information package in support of a license to construct the TMF at McClean Lake. The review and critique of these reports by the AECB is proceeding. Denison expects that all necessary licenses will be obtained and the start-up of production from the McClean Lake uranium project will occur in mid 1998 with full production occurring during the fourth quarter of 1998.
