Well, the plot thickens. Rather than raise our dues by a modest $9/month, it's being put to a shareholder vote to LOWER our dues by $70/month along with some other changes. This appears to be a last ditch effort to attract new members and keep current ones. The letter from the club president described our position as "precarious" and that the general feedback is that we charge too much for being a golf-only club.

The new membership plan we're voting on includes a provision that would allow the membership to assessed at year's end up to $840 ($70 x 12) if there's a budget shortfall.
