Kidding aside, if you follow Smith Barney, they have been very successful in their Big Pharma picks over the last 3 years... including a buy recommendation on Warner Lambert last January (the stock has increased about 90% since that call). But, I agree with you. I would not use their reports to make prescribing decisions...only investing decisions. Some brokers in Big Pharma have been very accurate in predicting the success of new products and probably use outside medical consultants (Merril Lynch does for sure). Others, such as Payne Webber (neutral in 1/97 on WLA,PFE,BMY, and LLY) are absolutely terrible in their Big Pharma recommendations. Best advice..Read as much as possible (including these Boards) and then make your own investing decision. Good investing! BigKNY3
