I can't tell you how silly this statement sounds

only to people who don't understand why and how jobs are created.

Getting rid of minimum wage won't lower wages - just magically create jobs.

there's nothing magic about it. if it makes economic sense for a business man to hire someone at $5 an hour, but not at $6 an hour, he won't hire anyone for $6 an hour. stated differently, if he can't profit by hiring someone at $6 an hour, he's not going to hire anyone for that amount of money. it's fantasy to think eliminating minimum wage 'magically' lowers wages. if you think it does, please explain how.

Me thinks a wider news coverage would be helpful. EITHER, there are incentives to get rid of the minimum wage rules so that wages can be lowered to a point that employers will hire -

hiring people at lower wages, doesn't affect people working at higher wages. lower wages are for entry level jobs. jobs that simply won't be there at a higher wage. even entry level wages help strengthen an economy.

or the incentives are to bring in more illegal workers.

we should make it easier to bring legal labor into the country. don't take that as being for amnesty. i'm not for amnesty. i'm for what makes this country strong. i want only legals here. but legal low wages workers don't take jobs away from americans like nearly EVERYBODY thinks. they actually help strengthen the economy, which makes for more and higher paying jobs for everyone.
