Obama has already institutionalized some of the worst Bush Junior offenses:
* Torture
* Assassination of citizens
* Warrantless searches and detentions
* Monitoring of citizens communications and whereabouts without a warrant

You give Obama way too much credit. Our Constitution and our Rule of Law made sure we didn't have to rely on the goodwill of our leaders. Now, we have laws that allow our leaders to act like Dictators with impunity and we are forced to rely on their goodwill.

The only credit I give Obama is that he is a man of goodwill. But I hate the fact that he has destroyed our Constitutional protections and that we may have a future leader that will abuse the power that Obama gave him. And I am exceedingly alarmed that people like you, who I know for sure are people who fight for civil liberties, have rolled over and played dead on these issues as Obama has rolled back civil liberties at the fastest pace of any President in history. Yes, Congress has created the laws, but Obama signed them. He is ultimately culpable.
