Do you have demons?! Or are you just NUTS! What I enjoy about this primitive fairy tale is just how many demons were in these two poor fellows. Jesus sent them into a "large herd" of EEeeks. All those demons could have had them very own human to torment, but instead they crowded themselves into just two! These would be the two people in the region who were sick. Also interesting is how they refer to an appointed time when Jesus will torture torture and torture! (“Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”). I wonder what demon illness is fed in the one who tortures?? How mentally damaged is someone who enjoys inflicting pain and torment on others? Jesus father of Jesus spoke excitedly about torture and torment: The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. YIKES!!
How about you? Do you feel sick or get violent impulses or crying jags, greg or ee? It could be you have simply come down with DEMONS. Find a good Christian doctor who understands the true cause of mental illness...DEMONS!! You probably have about 20 demons in you--maybe more. So you will need a large herd of pigs to be cured. Tell your doctor to be careful, however. Once the people see that their livelihood is destroyed by his practice they will "plead with him to leave". PLEASE GO AWAY SON OF GOD, FATHER OF SON! We don't want you killing all our pigs. Why didn't you send the demons into crows or dinosaurs. Why our pigs!! GO AWAY!
28 When He arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met Him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”
30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32 He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34 Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they pleaded with Him to leave their region. |
