Great news for CGRM, but it wasn't placed on th emajor newswires, this is from yahoo! Why would cgrm not put this out on ap or dow jones or reuters???

Sounds like some major contracts.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 20, 1997-- Centigram Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:CGRM - news), a leading provider of advanced communications solutions, announced today its further expansion in the rapidly growing domestic Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) market, which climbed to more than $2.2 billion in total revenue last year(a).

Centigram's newest CLEC customers are US LEC, MGC Communications, Inc. and WinStar Communications Inc. Each of these CLECs chose Centigram as its provider of advanced voice messaging to meet its needs for features, functionality and flexibility. The CLECs provide telephone service in major cities throughout the country.

''At each of these customer sites, Centigram's Series 6 server will provide leading-edge voice messaging solutions,'' said Kevin Gralen, vice president of marketing, Centigram.

''As this market continues to explode, we expect the CLECs to differentiate themselves competitively by providing enhanced features. US LEC LLC, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced it has begun installation of Centigram's Series 6 platform. The platform will service business customers throughout the Southeastern United States by providing competitive voice mail services with enhanced features. US LEC will offer a range of voice mail packages depending on customer needs, with features such as voice messaging between subscribers, digital pager notification and voice notification.

''US LEC's customer base is sophisticated, mandating that our messaging service be able to provide both basic and enhanced features on a flexible platform that is fully integrated with our Lucent switches,'' said Jeffrey Blackey, vice president marketing for US LEC. ''Beyond this capability, Centigram has also proven to be a responsive, experienced partner that has helped us bring a higher service level to our growing market.''

MGC Communications Inc., a Las Vegas-based CLEC, is using the Centigram Series 6 server to deliver a suite of voice and fax messaging packages to its business and residential customers. Additionally, Centigram is providing a suite of managed services including system maintenance and provisioning. MGC has launched its first installations in the Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Pomona, Calif., offering both local and long distance services.
