In these days (not when the Constitution was developed), every American has to meet the bare minimum to be worthy of the rights of a US citizen. Us citizenship does not come that cheap. I am sure your parents will agree agree with that, being immigrants like I am. US citizenship and all the rights that go with it, comes for a price. surely, a person forfeits those rights when they want to kill every one of their fellow citizens for the simple reason that they are US citizens like he/she is. What an asinine thought. And for that thinking we as US citizens, through our elected reps and our system have every right to bring that person to justice and go even as far as trying that person as a non-citizen by forfeiting all rights due to a US citizen.

What nonsense. The Declaration of Independence says humans are "endowed by their Creator" with "inalienable rights right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are timeless "laws of nature". Sure criminals are deprived of life and liberty through "due process of law", but you're saying some deserve to "forfeit all rights" before trial. I suppose if Osama bin Laden was reaching for his gun when apprehended then killing him was unavoidable, but GTMO is a pustulent cancer on the most fundamental American traditions and Obama has failed to do anything to excise it.

I don't know why you don't get this. If I have someone in my office who is violent and wants to kill everybody, I would first expel that person from the company and then turn that person over to the police.

Wow, you must be one buff dude, like the Terminator, turning over custody of that violent person. Thanks for your willingness to pay the price to maintain our security and keep us all free. In an office situation, where none of my family was present, I'd probably duck and run for cover and call the police for help at the first opportunity.
