Shutting down 8% of our electrical capacity over a 3 yr period is NOT needed for environmental reasons. Pollution is not so dire in today's America that something like that is justified.

And if we do shut down that much of our electrical capacity, guess what? There will hardly any difference from today. What then? Shut down the rest?

We can't get to zero human impact on nature.
