Most of the Big Oil companies are also Big Gas. This doesn't apply to the oil sands companies in Alberta, though. But look at the big names in the oil industry. You'll see they mostly produce more natural gas calculated on an energy basis than they do oil. Of course, prices being what they are, the biggest profits are made on the oil side.
