We did not have free trade until the mid 90s.

we had largely free trade since the country was founded. we had only minor tariffs.

So you are wrong, and Ross Perot was right.(about the giant sucking sound from jobs leaving this country due to NAFTA)

we lose jobs because of socialist policies in this country, not free trade.
