Dear Joseph G, In answer to your question: what in the hell does [+...><>....] mean?

The first symbol is a cross. However, not all computers have this character active, so it appears as something different. Quite often a black, vertical line or a small "a" with a circle over it.

The second symbol represents a fish. The > is the tail and the <> the body of the fish. You have to stretch your imagination a bit on this one.

Both are Christian symbols, the former being traditional and the latter evolving on the backs of automobiles in the last decade.

The person, who uses these also has a name derived from Shalom, a Jewish word for salutation and Hepzibah a Biblical name. I would suspect from his writing that he is trying to convey that he is a Christian, and a very devoted one at that.
