YES.. I was reinforced once again today, that the only thing worth gathering HERE is experiences.. To Hell with material wealth, for one can't take that with them past the moment one acquires it.. The thrill of the kill or moment of capture, I mean..
For then on, it just deterioates in value for a person.. Like the impulsive purchase of some piece of junk to wear or use one time.. Past the sudden rush of the purchase, it is nothing, it is like taking a drug by a druggie for a momentarily high, it's gone in a moment..
But an experience lives LONG after, and even into the next plane, maybe into infinity for one's soul can take it there....
For one can take experiences with them, forever.. but not like houses or cars or fancy clothes, etc. or VANITY, even..
I was reinforced about that once again tonight with a couple of phone calls.. So I went to my archives of photos on cds and relived some of our travels with friends...
Nothing can replace that... :) |
