Sankar, MOT is in trouble and the herd doesn't want to know it. I have a feeling that there will be another profit warning before the year ends. Re. Vinik, his involvement got me spooked out of a good value stock this year. Superior Telecom. He is a classic momentum player, if there is one like that. I am currently short AOL (puts) but under water. Unless the markets take a severe fundamental and technical blow at the same time, the liquidity seem to float all the boats. I haven't seen that dry-up. Also, several weak-shorts are helping these helium stocks get more helium. Until they are all taken out and/or the market liquidity dries-up, shorting those helium stocks like Yahoo remains a risky bet. My preference is to buy puts.
