iPads in classroom provide 20 percent jump in math scores, study says

reviews.cnet.com

Pretty interesting. If its true long term, if the gains are persistent its astounding. Huge change.

couple of comments:

It could just be that iPads are currently so cool that kids are excited by the whole thing. Once iPads are standard technology the jump in scores might blow over.

Verging on the political, I think it has to be said that this just screams unequal schools. When I first attended UCLA the high school in Brentwood next door had better computers than we had. They had SGIs.
