Well, I shouldn't repeat it but I will. The structural factors are far more important than the individual factors. If Romney is elected, he will be faced with a militant congressional faction in both houses. Most likely the Reps will have the majority in the senate as well as the house. And there will be blood lust to do all those silly, destructive things the present house Republicans want to do. Romney will simply be stuck with that. And will be dependent on the entire structure that got him elected. His problem solving skills will be focused on keeping his head above water in a highly charged, deeply ideological, no holds barred atmosphere.

In that kind of context there's almost no traction for digging in your heels. He'll get dragged along with no traction on the floor for his heels.

And we'll all go straight to a severe economic depression. It will be time to find bunkers for everything you hold dear.
