It's fascinating to watch the Reps drift more and more to a Randian view and run on a platform of pulling the US back into the nineteenth century. You know that David Axelrod is watching the debates at home and smiling as he notes all the quotes he can use in the general campaign about tearing up the last 50-100 years of progress in America. Which is literally what Gingrich and Paul said in their speeches last night. Now we really have to hope Gingrich gets the nomination, LOL. Medicare, civil rights, EEO, environmental protection, all headed off a cliff as we regress to the Brave Olde Worlde, I suppose. And of course, the Fed and the modern US dollar.
