Hi CatLady, Diversifying is not a bad idea, with longs as well as shorts. However, in shorting I you have done your homework, you may go a bit beyond what you would do with a regular holding. My largest short, SEEC, accounts in value for close to 10% of my net equity position. That is largest than most of my longs. My largest long is COMS with about 13.5% and going up due to the upward price movement. With ZITL I would have shorted some of the stock itself I think you would benefit from long term depreciation (Makes me laugh. Talking about long term depreciation instead of appreciation).
