I will blame both the Dems and the republicans.

In my view, the first rule of a politican is to feather his own nest.
The second rule is to loot the future and bribe the present.

This is true of both Dems and the republicans.

Because of this reality, I supported the tea party and economic conservatives in the effort to impose a balanced budget amendment upon Congress.

I am unaware of any national liberal in the past 40 years who has supported a federal balanced budget amendment of any kind.

Without such constraints, defense spending will continue to increase beyond its requirements.
