Re Ice Storm.....I agree....we spent several years in Buffalo NY, so yes, ice storms here are tinkertoys in comparison....BUT we have hills and tons of huge trees, and they don't. We in the NW are truly lucky....as bad as the ice storm was, it could have been ever so much worse....we only really had Thursday and part of Friday to deal with, then the warming began. Back in Buffalo and parts of New England, they usually don't have such respite....it's icy for weeks at a time....

Our back yard just has some residual spots, but the front (facing north) has at least an inch or more over the entire yard....the trees and bushes are free of the stuff though...
