i-node,

There is no doubt Giffords has fought a good fight to regain her health. She did the right thing by stepping down knowing that she was not well enough to do her job properly. I am glad she did not let the DEMs use her up as they would have.

Having said that, here is just a touch of her voting record and I do not think she is a "blue dog" Democrat , I think she is just a Democrat.

"In her first month in office, Giffords voted in favor of increased federal funding for embryonic stem-cell research; [31] raising the minimum wage; [32] endorsing the 9/11 Commission recommendations; [32] new rules for the House of Representatives targeting ethical issues; [33] and the repeal of $14 billion of subsidies to big oil companies, in favor of renewable energy subsidies and the founding of the Strategic Renewable Energy Reserve. [32]
