Is there any mention of refractive index homogeneity and birefringence
of the resulting material? If the material is more resilient without
good performance of these properties, then it will be useless as a
lens material. If however, it is able to maintain optical performance
and be more resilient, then this is a significant achievement for the
lens material market.
