Jack, your post concerning the NASD is very good. Perhaps some folks do not know about their "public disclosure" program. Contact them at 800-289-9999 and they will tell you if they have public disclosure info on a particular firm and if so, will mail you a copy. I just checked and they do have info on Datek. You may also contact them for this information on their web site: www.nasdr.com They also offer a free publication "Invest Carefully" which is an overview of the possibilities and pitfalls of the inter-net as an investment tool. I am also considering Web Street. NASD does not have any complaints on them, maybe because they are so new. Good Luck!
