LJ it is just silly to think pre school is no help. The rich fight each other to get into the best pre schools. IN my town the Montessorie pre school has a 2 or 3 year waiting list. Both of my kids went to Montessorie pre school and they were light years ahead of the kids who didn't go to pre school. The mind is very fertile at 2.5 years and ready to learn. I would bet a kid raised in a house that spoke 5 languages would be able to speak them all fluently by 5 with no trouble at all.
