FYI(SUB 1000 pc's) Most computer makers(Compaq to name one) have greater profit margins on these machines than the ones over 1000. I keep hearing that these computers will hurt micronand I still disagree with that line of thought. ADVERTISING and custom computing in the customer & bus. segments will help. That and better inventory control. Sounds to me like the management just screwed us. Management should manage the bus and it doesnt seem they are doing a good job. A quote from one of the analysts was " They dissapointed 3 quarters in a row and thats it. Thats the straw that broke the camels back." It was said today! P.S. It is apparent that the individual investor is not the only one that got caught off guard. Good luck all and have a good weekend. More to come im sure.
