Paul did indeed say that RB-Falcon would acquire one
"obvious" driller and one not so "obvious" driller on
CNBC at the time the merger was announced.
I'm speculating that the not so obvious driller might
be RIG. Recall, there was a bitter dispute between
RIG and RB over who would win Transocean.
RB lost of course-Paul does seem like an empire
builder and a takeover of RIG could be sweet
revenge for the loss of Transocean.
Could you imagine the deep water powerhouse
resulting from a RB-Falcon/RIG combination.
It's not far fetched-RIG and RB share equity interests
already in the Henry Goodrich and Paul B. Loyd
fourth generation semis!
